RAQUEL CAMARINHA

Soprano Raquel Camarinha began her musical studies at the age of five, training in piano and flute. Drawn to singing and acting from an early age, she initially pursued vocal and theatrical studies in Portugal before relocating to France to continue her training at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris.

She was quickly recognised by critics for the freshness and brightness of her timbre, as well as for the finesse and intelligence of her performances. Nominated in 2017 for the Victoires de la Musique Classique in the “Revelation Lyric Artist” category, she has won numerous national and international competitions.

On stage, she has performed a wide range of roles and has been particularly acclaimed in major Mozart roles (Pamina, Susanna, Zerlina) and Handel roles (Morgana, Almirena, Bellezza). She regularly appears at prominent venues in France and abroad, including the Théâtre du Châtelet, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Chorégies d’Orange, Opéra Comique, Philharmonie de Paris, Grand Théâtre de Genève and La Monnaie.

A distinguished chamber musician, she regularly performs in a duo with pianist Yoan Héreau. Together, they have recorded for the Naïve label the albums Rencontre and Life Story, dedicated to French mélodie and Lied, as well as the complete Chopin songs in Chopin | Schubert (Mirare).

This season, she performs the role of Thérèse in Les Mamelles de Tirésias by Poulenc at the Les Parenthèses Musicales festival in Saint-Maurice, Clohars-Carnoët. In the 2026–2027 season, she will appear as Sophie in Werther by Massenet at the opera houses of Nantes and Angers, and will sing the title role in Alice in Wonderland by Unsuk Chin at the Opéra de Nice.

YOAN HÉREAU

After completing his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, Yoan Héreau pursued further training, shaped by his affinity for text, theatre and voice, joining the Paris Opera Academy for three seasons as a vocal coach-pianist. He was soon engaged in operatic productions at major venues — Opéra de Paris, Opéra Comique, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, La Monnaie — particularly in the field of contemporary opera, where he has taken part in the premieres of works by leading composers of our time such as Georges Benjamin, Pascal Dusapin, Francesco Filidei, Mathias Pintscher and Kaija Saariaho.

Alongside this, he has developed a prolific career as a concert pianist, performing in France and abroad in major halls and festivals. He has recorded several albums for labels such as Mirare and Naïve (Schubert’s Winterreise with bass-baritone Edwin Crossley Mercer, the complete songs of Chopin, and two recital albums with soprano Raquel Camarinha).

At the same time, he has developed a career as a conductor, naturally focused on the operatic repertoire, and teaches at the CNSMD in Paris, working with singers.

Since 2019, he has been the artistic director of the Parenthèses Musicales festival in Saint-Maurice (Finistère), and in 2026, he became casting director at Angers Nantes Opéra.
